Cassel Salpeter & Co. — The Miami-based investment bank hired Ranjini Chandirakanthan (pictured) as director. Chandirakanthan, a 20-year M&A veteran, specializes in the technology industry and will oversee the firm’s expanding practice in the space. Prior to joining Cassel Salpeter, Chandirakanthan was a director of strategy at Dell Inc., and a senior director of corporate development at Sun Microsystems. She began her career as a CPA at KPMG LLP and has worked for a number of other firms over the years, including investment bank ThinkEquity, Lehman Brothers and tech security company Neoteris Inc.,which was sold to NetScreen Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: NSCN) in 2003 for $265 million.
